Ah yes, Nodame Cantabile... a series with a high re-watch value.

Haven't read the manga; somewhat disappointed with Paris Chapter because of its pacing - and surprising lack of romance factor despite being in Paris lol

The FMP Spec makes many more things possible and breaks that horrible lock in of the single domain. I think you described Kronblr quite well here too Ryan.

@Ffejery oh very nice. I'll have to check it out, but heeding the unfinalized db notice. From the shots it looks to maintain that simplicity, which is awesome. The adding feature is also great. I've been using the anki-maemo mostly on the go, but the lack of editing is somewhat a drawback. The normal anki version runs a bit on on maemo.

Will be on the lookout. Thanks for the heads up!

I just ran across this website while looking for info on the Anki port to Maemo 5, and thought I'd give you some updated information. As of this summer's Google Summer of Code, there is a Maemo port of Mnemosyne, although I don't know if it has stabilized yet, nor if it targets both Maemo 4 and Maemo 5. Details are here => http://wiki.maemo.org/GSoC_2009/Projects/Mnemosyne_for_Maemo
Code is on GitHub. If you're interested in it, contacting the author to see what his plans are would be your best bet. I was vaguely thinking about trying it at some point, so if you want, you can fire me an e-mail, and I'll let you know if I ever do happen to build it to try it out.
Cheers,

Aha! The key is that updates are basically "locked" into melative (just as they are locked into twitter or wherever).

I don't mind the micro-concept one bit, I think it's great.

The solution I've been working on, federated micropublishing, offers both a way to microblog and update melative if one desires (through plugins)... without the restriction of locking updates to melative.com.

Another advantage is that Kronblr (or another implementation of the spec) can be used off melative and achieve the same effect as the current microblog.

It opens up the micro-aspect, while retaining the ability to update melative in that same way.

If this sounds confusing, just think of it as a twitter you can customize on your own (basically the same ways that wordpress has themes and plugins), and it doesn't require any of your followers to be on the same domain... no register at your domain.
