Glancing the forecast, I think I’ll be putting off the Nodame for a few weeks. The weather isn’t cool enough, unfortunately. Also nearing fast is December, so it’s probably better that way. Still… I want my oranges, tea, flokati, and kotatsu in cold weather.

Guess what!? This weather is too good to pass on this opportunity.
Yes, I enjoy the series when the weather is cool, cold, or freezing; a tangent in itself. I’ve watched the first episode countless times since that awesome Autumn of 2006, with a number of repeats earlier this year. Strangely there was one little piece I have always overlooked, a piece of Chiaki’s perspective on Nodame.
In the scene before the duo perform their practice piece, Chiaki mentions that Nodame resembles Vieira, which I completely brushed off, multiple times. Chiaki, who obviously suffers from a sensei-complex, let’s his guard down to the viewer. His attraction to Nodame has sprung.
Winter 2007 I wrote about the Nodame Cantabile anime and touched on the relation between Chiaki and Nodame. Though this little piece of Chiaki does not alter my overall thoughts on their admiration-attraction, I feel it seeds a deeper level of attraction.
I sense that Chiaki’s desire to be with, and learn from Vieira is not solely out of admiration. Likewise, Chiaki’s minute attraction to Nodame will ultimately become something similar, a desire to be with, and learn from Nodame.
For reference, I enjoy Nodame Cantabile in the cold, for the warming sensation of the experience is well-complemented. Hearts.
Owen is away…. I’m sure I’ve seen this away before but it’s quite amusing. Ill have to ask him if this was a from dream or RL fantasy-garl. Speaking of fantasy girls… I can’t get Milch’s 「俺のファンタジーシガール」 off my mind. I do wish the weather was cool enough to get into a Nodame mood.

Author recently published a visual retrospective on the Nodame Cantabile anime (2007 Winter). Actually, he’s posted quite a bit on Nodame in the past month, but I ask… where’s the live action?
The reason I bring it up is extremely indirect; having spotted the recently aired HanaKimi Special, I remembered that I had yet to watch the Nodame specials (all 220+ minutes worth). So I ventured into the mix this week, and interestingly enough, I find the live-action at an advantage.
Based on the commercials I’ve seen, my current AMPINGS (with bias, duh):
Previews were a little abstract, but we know where this is going. Play point, the new Celestial Being.
Only wondering if the “recent” drama special will be mixing substance. Nodame’s VA does really good anyhow.
This wasn’t going to be in here, but I managed to come across a real preview, with voices and art. Yes, I want it NAO~! The light novel does a very nice job, and I hope this series comes off a little different than other tsundere-trademarked shows (Zero, Shana, etc); there is no magic and fantasy!
The designs and production appear solid. In terms of assurance, I think I can rely on it *saran wraps his words for a later date*

Okay, biggest question. While a tale of memories centered around Chihiro, who had memory issues, is this one centered around a deaf girl? Are we aiming for new moe modes, or what?
This was the series that bumped me to write this post. I cannot ascertain what genre this may dominate, but it surely looks like 1) slice-of-life 2) mahou 3) shoujo 4) not mahou-shoujo.

Notice: Yozakura Quartet were not included, because I didn’t see any decent CM on them. So what’s that 9 series? Also, previous Autumn dabbling was here.
Impz and co, did their Autumn seasonal preview already. A few weeks ago, I wishlisted some of these on melative. While the season is still weeks away, I’m pretty set in my choices.
There’s a lot of promise in the pool, and with so many shows airing, my Autumn 08 season could be growing. As usual, episodic reflections will be on melative.
Note to self: Need a nice javascript/WP integration to the melative API so that these titles aren’t so bland (this is really easy, but I’m working on other things)
