Draft Cleaning

I hardly keep drafts which I pay attention to. So I removed about 10 of them just now from the dash. Glancing them over, there was not anything necessary; mostly simple musings about hawt characters or random series in the past.

Thinking about it, I wish I kept more drafts.

It seems that the one known as mellow bunny has truly vacated the blogosphere. Cannot blame him really, as real life is that way, and I know he was tied into many projects with AB, bloggers, and my own concept projects.

Zu~ sometimes the virtual world feels just as disconnected and solo as reality. I question my endeavors, and my reasons for reject certain notions, which ultimately everyone else embraces. The opposition is strong…

Yuki Murata: Films

Having a listen in the middle of the night (2am). Films has something delightfully familiar about it. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it is the Charlie Brown to Ryuichi Sakamoto, no. It’s not a feeling of reminiscence, simply relaxing and ensuring. Why does Nodame Cantabile come to my mind? Modern classical music in mah Nodame… blasphemy.

I’ve installed the A.C.E. plugin to see how it works with mixing feeds and content. Quite shiny. At this time the ‘Status‘ category here will be excluded from the main feed (hopefully). An alternate feed is available for these posts.

Theme Update

For the first time, I’m using a non-default theme-base. D; It’s slightly modified, and I added the previous category styling, but will likely leave it be aside from some font-colors, etc. Structurally it’s decent (not what I had in mind, but it’s simple).

So, hmm, that’s about it. The sidebar effects are via some simple gradient classes I cooked up for another project March 2008. This won’t affect or stimulate me to post more or be more relevant, but cheers anyway!

Season Stance: Autumn 2008

秋季が十分に力で愛していません! Nope doesn’t make sense…. So I have a fair number blog articles to comment on, but have yet to delve into the subject matter, whoops. I’m also over 20 backlogged episodes for the season, whoops whoops. I also have nothing more to say… and so I blabber, FAIL!

At this point of the season, I’ve made some 46 reflections on melative, and taken 1176 snapshots. probably should fix AniSnaps for all those D:

Absolutely not related to the blog [or are they?] I plan on revisiting the AlwaysFlash and dishing some pros/cons I found along the way, plus a newer streamlined version that rotates cards on a timer. Taiga is something I should have spoken up about earlier on, but I thought mellow bunny was going to. Maybe I’ll also visit a post on the coming twitter-killer that’s spawning out of the ab.net community.

Small Getaway

I was in the Bay area (wine country actually) this past weekend, for a wedding. Very vitalizing, but much too short. I’d say I need to get on the Code Geass finale, but I’m not home home. I may also want to finish up Nogizaka Haruka. Likely I just get the SD versions, since HD isn’t going to aid the mediocrity.

So, other than the mass of coding I must do this week, while the Autumn season begins, I’m strolling along.

Edit: I was planning on the Lucky Star OVA over the weekend, but it didn’t happen. I’m not sure I’m going to watch anything today, as I’ve some sort of fever/headache. This week is going to blow.

Same Theme, Mod Style

So I modified the css once more (last time was March, and it was alright, but I didn’t like the color scheme; dark). That was last night, yesterday I also added style to the melative blog, which is the same layout with minor differences. I tried to keep the content centered, while still flying the sidebar at an offset, whatever that means D:

Anyway, I’ve had the BakaTsuki translation for the Toradora! light novel in my tabs for a week or so, and decided to read a bit ( first chapter reflection is probably on the right ).

It’s tough to watch anime at the moment, with the Olympics on 18+ hours a day (with overlap), but if I have the chance, I’m looking at tasting Koihime†Musou since Impz keeping it standard over at That. Waiting on Xam’d HD, because 03 in hd was super.

Backlogs suck, permalogs suck, but I’m not fearing the experience, simply wishing for less ani-procrastination.

This is one of the “general” update posts, but not Mizunashi.

First on the agenda has to be the season. I dropped off in Spring (freeking birthdays!), but randomly wound up in Summer. The short list:

Eve no Jikan: Sweet animation, reflection here.
Xam’d: Awesome BONES ordeal, saw Extrange posting on this one, and went okay. [reflections]
Yakushiji Ryoko no Kaiki Jikenbo: Can’t resit the character design and mixture of eccentricity. [reflections]
Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Uber sweet, basically makes we want to hurl, but I’ll go for masochism. [reflections]
Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto: Natsu no Sora: [not yet dipped]
Koihime†Musō: [not yet dipped]

So that’s the anime slice.

Other rambling

Right, well, melative continues to progress through it’s unknown tao, and I’ve posted a couple updates on the blog, which may be interesting or useful to gage what/where it is going. The *wish* feature works well, btw, and I thoroughly tested it with the FF extension API front-end, placing some 300+ wishes in a matter of minutes (looks like this in the end). It really just serves as a more intricate way to interact with media titles, that’s all (melative doesn’t care about how many episodes a series has, but the experience); basically it is a small way to compete with AniDB, which has that file-logging functionality.

Also on the site, I wound up pushing a few light novels into the database. I’m looking at the lists of 4000 anime+manga, but don’t know if I want to push it all in. Then there’s music and movies, bleh. So much media….

Anyway, it’s sports time. Olymipics 2008 are amped!
