    Soothing and cute episode. Solid slice of life, sounds of rain, the pace of sakura in the moist air. Yuuko's powerful questioning is awesome, but Watanuki simply overlooks her appeal. Kohane yay!

    Oh my Makona is awesome! Great episode, though the majong-speak was -, ah Yuuko, Makona and Doumeki dominating, lol. The Warashi cameo were super-plus; Zashiki kawaaiii! xxxHOLiC Kei is a solid seasonal choice as expected ^^ *is happy* !preview :D

    Building episode = dialog. Things being set up for what looks to be strong clashing. Anyway, this was a half-angst showing with Miharu being "down", but he has decent cause, since he's the item of the day. He threw in one of his "appeal" antics at broken Tobari anyway, which was fun. Raimei looked a little down, but she's so damn genki she can't do emo. It's good to develop some story, but it reminds me a lot of Tenjo Tenge and the ultimate dragon shit (this should be better though).
    
    So E04 wasn't as gripping as I wanted, but its expected after having plenty of action last episode.

  • Wasted bullets, 図書館戦争, episode: 03

    The episode is more progressive and serious than previous ones. I think there were some important aspects for development this episode. Dojo on Kasahara is probably the main one, but Kasahara seems in a stressful position; very. Tezuka is decent with his confession, and not annoying, but Kasahara shows doubt (stress 1). Kasahara is in the Task Force, first female, but not taking part in the fighting portion of this operation (stress 2). Supposedly it is for her protection, which by the end of the episode is questionable; cliffhanger (stress 3).
    
    How can anyone not feel for the Kasahara in this moment?

    Solid episode, not a bit of bad taste. There was some funny moments with the hippo, but the issue of dreams was more interesting; dream buying I guess. It leaves open a good element with Watanuki meeting Doumeki's grandfather though, and yes Yuuko says it is no coincidence.
    
    Highs: Swing Yuuko, thin Yuuko, Osakapottamus loves the spread, Bully Yuuko, Doumeki no jiji

  • Kasahara vs Kuma, 図書館戦争, episode: 02

    Kuma punch! I think that was one of the highlights, Kasahara lol. The great thing is that the characters are making connections, and relations are developing, especially with Dojo X Kasahara. I think it could work, good pairing, I'll root for it. Asako laughs cute :D As for the literal Library War, its okay. I can't believe they fight so viciously, but it raises the stakes. A big YUH for gambling in life!

    Very amusing, but Yuuka gets bullied hard (not amused), she's cute regardless. I think it was just a translational (moving along) episode, with small developments, and still crazy Kyouka-sama. The second half was funny, and enjoyment keeps me going. Though, I don't particularly like the sentimental aspects.

    Alright, I found the first 3 minutes a bit cheesy, but the episode pays big. I like the leap in complexity, mostly from introduction the adversaries. The action was nice, but the heroes seemed a little slow, Tobari-sensei sluggish. Still, tight moves, except from Yoite who doesn't need physical jutsu. He just floats around and points his finger. Ah, but he did kick Raimei HARD into a wall. MmmHmm awesome action. Raimei killing shinobi, wow, rad. Preview gives me some amperage for next week.

    This episode had great essence and summed this arc very nicely. It particularly had a good variety of elements, but the best part is the definite feeling of progression (or one of them). Watanuki was quite courageous in his battle to free Zashiki Warashi, and it was good to see him so determined, and come to certain realizations. Though, his spaz on Doumeki in the end was very funny.
    
    Highs: Watanuki tsuyoi, Mokona expert sprayer, eyeballs
    
    I like the take, I want the WS, but this episode may prevent me from switching over (I'm all about the experience ^^)

    Valentine's day, shoujo, yessah! Good episode, as it moves along, more development on Zero in his battle, but really not much else is going on; main focus is on Zero and night class groupies. Doesn't feel like much happened though.

    They had a good thing going, but somehow i just wasn't feeling the sentimental vibe; too generic and early. Anyway, like most shoujo-centric characters, Hikari is f'ing lovable! Kei, on the other hand, is pretty interesting, but he's no Tamaki [nor Syaoran]. Overall good episode, with some flaws, but its just personal taste.

    Enter Raimei, a supposed samurai. Well, she is a pretty typical energy character, but not bad, rather enjoyable with a good voice and design. Great thing about her is that she has good presence, better than Kouichi for sure.
    
    I thought the episode strolled along, didn't rush or anything (it better be going for more than 13 episodes), and of course leaves a cliffhanger (that's so shounen its not funny). Lots of small talk, fun character interactions. So funny to see how Miharu "works the field", way too blushie-feminine for anyone's good, god.
    
    I'll probably just stroll, no rush. Wouldn't mind batch watching, if they are going to use the cliffhangers often... all in style.
    
    Highs: Mr. I dont care, Ms. I am a samurai, batwings, Tobari so anti-invincible, Miharu's style lol

    Chizuko-Chiko has two paths, the way I see it, she isn't satisfied with her life, and she is hikikomori-ish, but I think I have a good idea why. She's just plain bored in her "perfect little life" that is basically padded to the max, and she doesn't have her mother. She seems keen on adrenaline, she wants Nijuu-mensou!
    
    I would have said she was just a meh girl, but even the little development with her sneak-eating chocolate... awesome. Her expressiveness when she passes out, well done studio and VA (Hirano Aya). Good stuff. Chiko manages her inner wish and get nabbed by Nijuu-mensou.
    
    So then there is this car chase, which from start to end, was nonchalant over-the-top, I was LOL. Right when Chiko is in the "getaway car" and it start flying around, she smiles... she is potentially a hardore adrenaline junkie! End car chase, and cue Charlie Brown piano music. Really, the best line was when 20 and Chiko are dangling from the pimp air balloon; blushing, more lol.
    
    Fully satisfied, I laughed quite a bit (sad considering it's not a comedy). I will watch more, and I want to see Chiko blossom under the care of Nijuu-mensou.

    Well, that was interesting. I totally get the wild feeling similarly associated with Excel Saga; off the wall. With so many characters it strange to intro most of them in the first episode; that's right, no milking *glances around for Chizuru*.... milking.
    
    So the mesh happens to be a fantastic collision of species, which leads me to wonder if this is slice-of-life (ie Keroro). I don't hope for a strong-plot but whatever, first episode is slightly open. Anyway, mind hurt. When Kyouka rambles, its crazy. She is definitely the center of madness, with double-plus energy... kinda like SuzuHaru, minus the tsundere. Anything could happen...
    
    I happen to like the ED, it is cuute.
    
    Highs: Kyouka's culinary abilities, Otou-san lol, Kyouka as mama, MARRAIGE
    Lows: the food was talking, Kyouka's mouth design is a little strange (I can deal)

    Introduction of another service-type character. Nozomu has some very funny moments; my fav was her choosing a seat in class. There really isn't much to reflect on, it's all service-machine; terrifying.

    Ah, this is much better than I had imagined. Too bad I didn't quite catch all the verbage (worth waiting for subs). What I do like is the premise, because it is legit, except for handling things violently and not politically. Even now we have information wars, and I'm not afraid to say that most network media in my country is "controlled" (praise be to freelancers).
    
    Aside from that, ah Iku is so lively and enjoyable, but sensually, its about megane Asako. The introduced cast is quite nice all-around. Also, the production values are awesome. Chibi-styles are great. I hope the flow is more like slice-of-life than strong-plot, but either way I think I will want more after 12 episodes (just like a certain microbe series of 2007).

    Proceeding with pleasure. Even though I get where the story is going (manga), this version is working for me. It's gotta be Yuuko and the strange characters Watanuki encounters, along with CLAMP visuals. Really, though, I'm a fan of the designs, but some scenes do look strange, particularly the far off shots (the heads look really tiny).
    
    As long as Yuuko is sporting so many nice outfits, I'm there. Watanuki's eyeball is fair game next episode.

    So, Production IG does something nice here. It seems like a blend of concepts, but RD has a nice psychedelic side. The animation is great, its easy to notice related character designs from Seirei no Moribito, but with a little meatier females. And talk about the service, not one, but two pantsu-shots. Actually, I find that kind of moderation decent for the material.
    
    On another note, the episode seemed really long without an OP, but the ED was pretty kick ass.

    I'm very drawn into these sort of things, and by these I mean shoujo. First episode of VK is solid and sexy. All the character designs look good, and the 720p is decent.
    
    My main interest is to see what secrets are revealed about character as things progress, and of course, the love battle that's bound to happen between Kaname and Zero [over the darling Yuuki].

    Thick stuff. The premise is quite dark, but it isn't dark, just thick, somewhat heavy. It does have an interesting setup with form so powerful groups (Benika) and families (Kuhouin). I don't think I will find myself in the weekly flow on this one since the progression is heavy and feels sluggish, but I bet it would make for a decent marathon.
    
    The art is really good, but the character designs are slightly awkward (not bad though). Also, Murasaki's voice seems a little mature for 7. Oh well.

    I'd have said it was a so-so episode, but the last 8 minutes, the development towards a KeiXHikari, made a good grab at my interest. I like the designs (larger version of Shugo Chara), the raw quality is okay, but the S.A group should be the shine.
    
    Hikari is a likable character, very hot (atsui yatsu) personality, but mainly tempered towards Kei. Kei is about 60% Tamaki from Ouran, which is enough to make him pretty cool; I guess he is worthy (numero uno and all).
    
    Highs
    Hikari smiles like Amu, Kei is semi-hopeless but cool, the S.A is filled with "gifted" students
    
    Lows
    I don't know how I felt about the dynamic-duo fighting, but I guess.
