With the return of Shana, I must say it is stylish. This season will mesh very well with the first; the pickup is almost like clockwork.
WIN: Shana eating delicious foods. Wilhelmina being her protective, type-A self. Urusai! X3 -
ＣＬＡＮＮＡＤ -クラナド-
First, must say … HAWT KICKS! Yes, we all know it. So KyoAni loves these haremish-mystical blends like AIR and Kanon, and though Clannad fits the bill, it seems more fairytalesque than the truly mystical nature of say AIR. Anyhow, my highlight had to be Nagisa’s father, he had some good ones.
WIN: Nagisa’s papa. The visuals. Fujibayashi’s fortune telling skills. -
Myself; Yourself
The opening scene was adorable. Good expressions, but is it a music-slice-of-life or what? I couldn’t say. I’m kind of doubting it is a harem, or at least I don’t see where it would play in. Sana and Nanaka have the most friction from the go. Really, the final scene where Nanaka slaps the pink onto Sana’s face… great stuff. It left me wondering, “Why’s she upset?“, and now I’ve no reason I shouldn’t continue (I want an answer).
WIN: Seaside town and high school; love ‘em.

Although there still hasn’t been many shana 2 eps released yet, so far the series does show a consistent animation quality as compared to the first season. Not really sure how the plot will unfold but I’m certainly looking forward to it.
