Let’s hope this is brief.
I’ve recently started using the A.C.E. plugin for Wordpress, and I quite like it. With that, I’ve excluded two categories from the main pages, archives, and feed. Those categories are Status and Micro1.
As some may have notice, I am not updating on twitter anymore2, as I am holding out for something federated and open to appear3, such as kronblr, backed by the Federated Micropublishing spec. In the meantime, I will be updating said categories in micro-fashion with likely expansion on 日本のメディア updates from my Melative liveblog4.
Cheers to turbulence and a nightingale.
Notes
- Each has their own feed at Micro and Status.
- I like the concept (although it’s not unique) and seeing everyones updates, but it can be accomplished in a federated, open manner. The web is bigger than onesite.com. I’m not coal enough to Myspace or Facebook either.
- BTW, blogs are the largest and only truly open social-sphere on the Internet. Open-source or not, they all work with each other.
- Also in the process of inheriting said federated protocol, yes that means cross-domain following.
