School Days, surely has characters who are cute to the moon, but why am I so worked up by this typical love-triangle. Who knows…
I can’t begin to understand the female character psychology in these episodes, mainly Sekai. Kotonoha is easy, she’s just shy and doesn’t know that she has the upper hand on Ito.

Saionji is manipulative WIN! In a short time, Sekai manages to meet a guy, find his motives, befriend his love interest, and then arrange an obento gathering on the rooftop between the three. Somehow I get this instinct that she was really pushing for Ito to be rejected by Kotonoha and then being the shoulder to cry on (take the kill while he’s in a weakened state). Whether this is true or not does not matter because Kotonoha was secretly doki-doki about Ito (which could be a hint that she thinks his body would fit nicely under her matress). Either way, Sekai is much bolder than Kotonoha, but then again Kotonoha could be a closet-psychopath, though I’m highly in doubt… or am I? Lies change characters… D:

Inexperienced young lovers, things are on the verge of exploding; Kotonoha is like the carpenter with the best tools on the block, but doesn’t have a clue about using them. Ito is an idiot and has bad timing. Also, and magically, girl fondling girl breaks down the “shy barrier” between girl and boy. I’m not going to read up on that last “assumed fact of nature”.

So I did enjoy these intro episodes, and the flow is nice. On of my favorite deliveries at the moment is the in-class note passing between Sekai and Ito; the highlight for me so far, probably. Its a stimulating and comedic scheme, so I hope it continues. I didn’t pay attention to the previous School Days releases, but I’m in for this one. I think it will wind up somewhere on the 2nd tier of summer priorities. I wouldn’t say its a must see at this point though.
