Alright, so that image isn’t very “in season” but winter is sparkling (raining here), and summer is something I’m urging for with the recent mist-weather we’ve had here on this grand peninsula. *clears throat*
I’ve really taken it upon myself to limit my Winter ‘07 approach. There are around 6+ shows I would usually want to check out, but I’ve only grasped 4 for now; perhaps more when subs flutter.
Kyoshiro towa no Sora
So I get the Kannazuki influence… mecha+romance(yuri)+pretty pretty girls (innocence adds to this *images Kuu* … she’ll probably be in her first yuri scene shortly). For one, I do feel the animation is slightly higher quality, but not astounding compared to Kannazuki no Miko; mecha fights are decent visuals though. This is going to be a short story, but it seems far too predictable at the moment. Kuu obviously has some power, and there is a struggle, and then we have Chikane-chan em0ing over Himeko rapage… etc etc. I’m only saying.
If the romance can match Kannazuki no Miko I’ll be very happy. Though, one lack is that the KOTOKO OP/ED pwned in KnM! We’ll see.
Venus Versus Virus
Alright, this looked more interesting than it came out to be. The main concept of “virus” is not bad, but the trump card approach is something I wish to not be played very often. There are always many possibilities with 12 episode series, but the plot can easily been “understood” when it seems that the end objective is in sight. I feel it could be fun, similar to a Chrno Crusade type mix, but may be a little less sad. The level atm, for me, would be somewhere around Kamisama Kazoku; kinda fun, interesting, and I’ll take a ride for now.
Manabi Straight
Oh my my my, silly girls. This is LOVE, nuff said. The character designs are so kawaii, and the perks and peppiness of some characters is fantastic.
Nodame Cantabile
Jebu Jebu, wow! I must say that compared to the Live-action, the ND anime moves faaast. I think it is just the density of plot development; both anime ep01 and live-action ep01 wound up around the same plot point (Chiaki’s beginning to accept his stay in Japan).
This is a keeper, either way. I know the plot as much as the live-action, but I really would like to see how its done in the anime. Surpisingly, I’m more intrigued about the Nodame Cantabile comparison to live-action, than I was with the Death Note anime comparison to manga; I find that odd. The tides are swirlin’, where am I heading.
On another note, I quit watching D.Gray-man after episode 14, I mean the anime is ok, I just don’t feel it. The manga is better, but even then its not the centerpiece of my day/week/Himeko… ya.

You’re watching more than me this season! I’m sticking with the ones from last season and adding on Manabi straight, and that’s about it.
Don’t feel bad about dropping d.gray-man, I dropped it on episode 4, and I usually don’t drop series.
no Tokyo Majin??? it’s a must watch if you love action thriller movies!
I usually don’t drop a series unless its really bad. Though I gotta say besides the wackey evil dudes in D.Gray man the series isn’t that bad.

On that note, was the LA Nodame any good? Recommend? And which should be watched first.

On Nodame, well I don’t think it is necessary to watch LA first, probably better as a reflection after the anime/manga, but I’ll say that the anime may be able to bring more interesting perspective and more material/detail to the plot.
