I’ve not much to say that probably hasn’t been covered, but Black Lagoon has to, has to, must be at the tops of viewers list for the season. It’s not cute and romantic, or extraordinarily funny, but its quality! So I didn’t have much to address, but a couple things I noticed.

First off, Eda is spectacular. Revy X Eda working together should go down as a classic combo, simply because they conflict with each other so well, like pit bull siblings. There’s definitely three strong scenes with this matchup: drinking in the church, Eda’s “wait for Jane in the dark alley” scene, and of course the warehouse teamup. Of the three, I probably liked the second most, simply because Eda’s “narration” of Jane’s actions was halarious, though Revy’s and Eda’s conversation while boozin in the church was notable.

Everyone wants to get into Rock’s pants, naah, Rock would probably wimp out or die a pleasurable death from either Revy or Eda, but then again I could be wrong. Revy has a very strong aggressive presence, but whats funny is how quickly she can switch on the liteness. We saw this in the first season, when Chan was introduced being infamous and charismatic story-telling time. He makes Revy giggle, that’s funny, she gets girly around someone like Chan, SUGOI! Also, a much smaller detail was in episode 18 as Revy is facing off with the flame-dude, that “move’s quick for a lard ass”. Anyway, she gives Dutchie a nice little look and gets dead serious in about 1.4 seconds. Could be me, but Revy does have a “softer” side. Eda, on the other hand, I don’t feel it. She’s doesn’t get as manly as Revy, but she also doesn’t seem to get soft either; could be the CIA influences, which we find out about at the end of this arc. The other female killer who is more feminine than both Revy and Eda put together, Shenhua, doesn’t “do” the manly thing. She’s sexy 24/7, but then again, I believe her to be a little more kookie than the other two. I don’t know what that implies ^^;.

I want to give a shoutout to Benny boy! Computer h4×0r skills for the seductive win of Janie. This was pretty funny, and I was leaning towards it right when the two met. I realized they both were in that technological guru stage of nirvana, so something was bound to happen, but wasn’t she just the little miss aggressor. Surprise! Jane’s on FIRE! I bet that was an interesting night…

Black Lagoon, is just full of surprises, and though I wasn’t considering it being part of the fall season (because 1st season was so close) I’ll gladly place it above some of the less impressive series so far *coughDGrayMan07cough*. I’ll address that later.
