My personal feeling are that this was a good episode, but not quite a match for the previous. There is cuteness abundance, but nothing really stunning, even though the episode gives Ayu more time then the other girls. Ayu is still cute, but I’m feeling kind of immune because of the typical cuteness. In fact, I believe the episode’s goal was to slightly irritate the viewer with the orange tones (orange is supposedly irritating). Anyway, I did enjoy the episode.

Shiori so kawaiiI found that my view of Ayu isn’t that “loli” to say, she is short, but she really is just a small person (not Momoko small+loli). She has some cute moment, but as far as story progression, she doesn’t do much. Mai and Mokoto are the story at the moment, but Shiori is also coming into view. The plot stands still in episode 6, so hopefully 7 will be extremely eventful (I believe it will). KyoAni did a nice job, but I believe they are making slight sacrifices (betting on a win from the viewer with cuteness) for future episodes, and I’m glad.

Uh oh! The girls are starting to be repetitive and the truth is starting to float to the surface! None of the girls actually have much character, but just have catchy mannerisms that draw in the viewer. They’re all basically the same girl with different mannerisms, sigh. Only difference being Mai, perhaps. Akiko is pretty hot (my favorite character so far), although I’m not sure she exceeds the sexiness of Yuji’s mom in Shakugan no Shana. Sakai Chigusa just pwns.
Is it wrong that the best thing to me is Yuuichi? I mean the girls are extremely cute and all, but Yuuichi just stuns me with his awesomeness at everything he says. It seems I’m very gar for Yuuichi.
Retsgip, Akiko is great. The girls are a bit typical, but we “know” them now so I guess it’s expected of their action?
Demian, nah, Yuuichi is doing great. Personally not the center of attention, but I like the way KyoAni is doing his character (though I have nothing to compare it too). He is full of facial expressions and colorful remarks.
Yuuichi was a bit harsh this episode. I felt sorry for Ayu…

Yuuichi = 4th stooge? I believe he’s just not taking anything seriously, especially the girls. I don’t think he believes Mai is hunting demons. His carefree style is probably just coping with these silly girls, but he’ll have to wake up.
Danny, lol, Ayu in the theater, that was bad. I thought it was pretty cute how she wore herself out though.
I think Makoto is taking the wrong approach.
Her silly pranks aren’t working. She’d have a lot more success if she gave Yuuichi a kiss… now THAT would get him flustered.
