Daisuke x Riku FTW! I rather enjoyed the manga way back when it was being regularly published lol. Then, I kinda lost track of it… have to reread from volume 1 to catch up with the latest chapters, not sure when that’s gonna happen though T__T

I found the anime adaptation rather… forgettable. Though, I still heart the Daisuke x Riku raburabu moments~ And of course, Dark-sama is one of the most awesome / hawt bishies EVAR.

I don’t really remember the speed, but yea it’s not the best by far, it has issues … technical ones too like why there aren’t chapters and volumes, but volumes and stages or w/e.

That’s how I felt as well, but it’s light and easy to like. Perhaps it’s more popular than it should be and over-exposed by the yaoi fans, but I never had to wade through that stuff; started with a clean slate one day, and found it very easy to read… but yea that was years ago and thinking about other titles I was into at the time (Bleach, Sukuran), it doesn’t differ that much. Really feels a lot like CCS, just from a different angle.

I think two big flaws are the lack of strong comedy and the flow can be a bit choppy from panel to panel. As for starter manga, I agree, but I can’t really think of anything I’ve read that wasn’t a starting point for someone reading manga… since the majority of titles I’ve read turns out to be shoujo, and they all seem easy to begin with.

Boiling it down, it’s a Love Power title, nothing more or less ^^

DN Angel is slow. It’s okay, but there are tons of better titles. At least, that’s what I discovered in between DN Angel’s sporadic releases.

I started with Aku-Tenshi’s scanslation during like… elementary/middle school. Then I reread up to the volume 8 or 9 (in Korean) during my first year of high school.

At this point, I don’t care about it enough to continue. Especially after years of having been exposed to… not-so-intelligent DN Angel fans. Call them “noobs” for simplicity. Had to deal with a lot of them when I was a co. admin for a manga site (like OneManga) in the past. Oh yeah, don’t forget the yaoi fangirls on horrible places like LiveJournal.

I say reserve DN Angel people who haven’t read any manga. It’s a good “starter”.

Auuu~ I can’t comment on the anime, as I sort of avoided it, but I may check it out eventually for kicks.

@Caitlin I recommend the manga for sure. ^_^ It’s adorable, like Card Captor adorable, but more Majou Shounen I guess lol

@totali, oh U, try the manga as well, but actually I just saw a batch on tosho the other day, which was half the reminder/stimulation of my resuming (the other half was someone talking about black wings in #ab… and there are winged things in DNAngel).

Unfortunately, I haven’t read it but I also haven’t read a lot of manga in general. I have a friend who was in love with the anime though, when it first came to the US.
