Interesting…during the previews, it didn’t sound too interesting but I’ll have to check it out now. I liked Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo for many different reasons but the characters in both were top notch. It sounds like this show will also have some good characters too.

Michael, do do do, but the first episode does very little in terms of progression, so should be better to group 1 and 2 together.

@washi, I see, and yes I was surprised to see so many blog impressions on the series… it was like Kurenai in the Spring.

@ghostlightning interestingly enough, when I finally got around to watching Champloo, Bebop was so far in the back of my mind that there was hardly any effect… I think I was more objective back then, but for some reason when I’m in the view the other series don’t pop up…. except for the silhouette OP. Thank goodness though…. sometimes I imagine how it would feel if they came in a different order… say Champloo then Bebop. hehe

It’s an interesting show, burdened by the expectations merited by the reputations of the people behind it and what came before.

When I watched Samurai Champloo, I did my best not to think of Cowboy Bebop which I believed helped me enjoy it more. Hana’s would-be last stand is one of the more satisfying moments in anime (along with Kallen pwning Suzaku in R2).

Nice, I didn’t realise the show had been given its deserved amount of attention!

Episode 2 was moved forward to this week, last week because of football reruns, or so I heard. Damn football!
