Geass R2 Rolls

Suzaku is no Syoran, and Lelouche is no Guevara… nuff said.

Geass is entertaining as hell, but the unrealistic, exotic plot gets kind of meh, as compared to a realistic, exotic plot (ie. any RL example… Guevara’s life f.i.). May be it is because the unrealistic plot plays on too much “worst-cast scenarios” (everything that can go bad, does), and statistically it’s overwhelming (the overall combination of these probabilities). Or perhaps it is the fact I’ve grown up with my grandfather believing in the 0.0001% probabilities of the world; and living in fear. Whatever the case, I’m not simply talking about coincidence [there is only hitsuzen], I’m focusing on the consecutive steps of coincidence (one, after another, after another, …).

Anyway, I’ll continue this as I progress through the episodes, most likely focusing on the characters [and their terrible decisions *coughLuLucough*].

It’s not a flaw, plenty of people enjoy reality shows, but I’ll take cheesy love-comedy over reality-style any day.

*reality tv, as we know thrives on the drama, which is usually played up, creating intensity for the viewing experience… Geass is very much the same
